This week’s senior spotlight goes to Sara Travis, from the women’s volleyball team. Sara has been playing volleyball for approximately ten years. She is a Millikin four year veteran and has stated that the team has very high hopes this season.

The team has set many goals. They want to finish first in the CCIW conference as well as win their conference tournament and make it to the NCAA tournament. Sara said that in the four years she has played here at Millikin, this year’s team is the best yet and they are very excited to work towards achieving their goals.

Sara is a marketing major here at Millikin. She chose to be a marketing major because she wanted to help create experiences for people that would last a lifetime. Sara has been applying for jobs within the sports industry around the Midwest. She hopes to be working in Indianapolis at the NCAA offices for their postgrad internship. She also will be applying to work at colleges around the U.S. in either their marketing or admissions departments.

Sara wouldn’t trade her experience here at Millikin for anything. She claimed that she has loved every minute of her time here. She has met some of her best friends, and grown as a person and as a student athlete. She has also learned so many valuable lessons from her professors, bosses, coaches, and comrades here at Millikin.

Good luck in your last season here at Millikin as well as your future endeavors. Millikin will sure miss you!
