Women’s Golf Team Finishes Eighth
Millikin women’s golf team was rewarded eighth place in the recent Fall Invitational at Illinois Wesleyan University on Sept. 13 and 14 in Bloomington, Ill. at Crestwicke Country Club.
Big Blue received a team total of 780, just missing seventh place by one point, which was won by Carroll University. Carthage won the whole tournament with a team total of 653.
Top performer from Millikin was senior Lauren Abrahamson, who was tied for 22nd place with a score of 183. Sophomore Jessica Schuerman tied for 27th place with a total score 187.
The Fall Invitational winner was MacKenize Parks from Carthage with a total of 151.
Coming up: Millikin hosts the Millikin Fall Classic at the Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur on Sept. 20 and 21.
