The Reptilians

Shadow government, globalists, New World Order, Illuminati, or whatever you call them, there is a group that is believed to run the world behind the scenes. A group of mysterious people control our world’s resources, technology, military, and economy when in reality they aren’t people at all, they’re Reptilians. These cryptids are believed to be the true rulers of the world.

Reptilians, or as they are also known lizard people, are believed to have shape-shifted into many of the world’s leaders and oversee society while manipulating it. The creation of Reptilians is largely linked to conspiracy writer David Icke in his 1998 book “The Biggest Secret,” though similar creatures have been linked to other writers long before Icke’s writings.

While Icke is the theorist most associated with the theory and reptilians, one of the earliest stories connected to the Reptilians comes from writer Robert E. Howard’s story “The Shadow Kingdom” in 1929 with his creation of serpent men. While the serpent men aren’t Reptilians, they bare several resemblances including their appearance, with the difference of snakes vs reptiles and the ability to imitate human beings. These serpent men would later become a part of the Cthulhu mythos with H.P. Lovecraft taking the serpent men and adding them to his works.

While the serpent men are not reptilians, they are believed to have laid the basis for the creatures. One of the earliest mentions of lizard people actually came in the form of a sighting in 1967. On December 3rd, 1967 a patrolman from Ashland, Nebraska named Herbert Schirmer claimed to be abducted by aliens during his usual round. Schirmer described them as being humanoids with reptilian features. Schirmer also said that the aliens wore a winged serpent emblem on their chests and that they came from Venus.

These earlier interpretations all lead to Icke’s interpretations of the creatures. In Icke’s interpretations of Reptilians, he described them as blood drinking lizard looking humanoids and claims that they come from Alpha Draconis star system. Icke claims that many of our world’s leaders are secretly Reptilians, leading to the most well known lore of the creatures. Icke claims that the British Royal Family, the Bush family, and the Rothschilds family, among others, are Reptilians.

Reptilians in their purest form are said to have several distinct features. According to the most accepted description, Reptilians are at least a foot taller than most humans and have a reptile like body and a head that resembles a lizard, giving them the more commonly known name “lizard people”.

What makes Reptilians especially interesting is the amount of world leaders that are accused of being lizard people and the mainstream attention that has come from this creature. In 2003 during the Ontario General Election, progressive conservative candidate Ernie Eves referred to his opponent Dalton McGuinty as an “evil Reptilian kitten-eater from another planet” in a press release during the campaign.

In 2008, during the Minnesota senate election, Republican senator Norm Coleman challenged a ballot that had “lizard people” as a write-in candidate as a prank with prankster Lucas Davenport later admitting to the prank and telling the press, “ I don’t know if you’ve heard the conspiracy theory about the lizard men; a friend of mine, we didn’t like the candidates, so we were at first going to write in ‘revolution’, because we thought that was good and to the point. And then, we thought ‘the Lizard People’ would be even funnier.”

Reptilians are a modern cryptid and not only appear as a creature, but are also a popular conspiracy theory that has almost became a staple of  pop culture and political humor…or at least that’s what they want you to think.
