The Big Blue suffered another loss of the season against Augustana on Sat. October 5th. The Big Blue traveled to Augustana College and lost 40-14 to the Vikings.

The game started out rough with the game having an almost two and a half hour rain delay.

The Viking’s scored the first two touchdowns of the game, along with a field goal in the first quarter. They made another touchdown in the second quarter. Augustana’s defense held off the Big Blue from scoring in the entire first half. Any attempt the Big Blue made on offense could not get through the solid defense Augustana had.

The Vikings went into the second half with 16 points racked up and they made two more touchdowns in the third quarter. Millikin’s first touchdown was made by running back Ladavion Severado.

Moving into the fourth quarter 30-7, the Vikings secured another touchdown and field goal to bring the score to 40-7. With three minutes left in the quarter, the Big Blue made one final touchdown by wide receiver Jordan Smith.

Millikin now moves to 2-2 in the season while the Vikings move to 3-1. The Big Blue will next face the Carroll University Pioneers at Waukesha, WI, on October 12th.
