Invincible Season 4, episode 6 titled “You Look Horrible” just dropped, and it sets up a lot for the last few episodes this season.
The episode starts with Allen the alien and Tech Jacket in a cocoon on a viltrumite ship made by Tech Jacket’s suit. The pair end up going back to Talescria, where Allen reunites with his wife, Telia and Thaedus. They find that Invincible (Mark), Omni Man (Nolan), and Kid Omni Man (Oliver) didn’t make it back to Talescria like the others.
Nolan and Oliver are on a deserted alien planet, taking care of Mark until he heals from the aftermath of the last episode, where Mark had an intense fight against Conquest, which almost left him dead. Mark is bandaged up and being fed nutritious foods by Nolan and Oliver, so he can heal properly.
While this is happening, we get to see Nolan and Oliver interact more one-on-one. Oliver resents Nolan and is disappointed after his return to Earth. He only came for Mark and didn’t go out of his way to interact with him. On top of this, he overheard Nolan talking to his wife Debbie, where he tells her that Andressa, Oliver’s mom, was a mistake.
Oliver is infuriated and feels betrayed by his father. He confronts him about what he heard, and Nolan vows to be a better father.
From there, Nolan and Oliver gather food and eat together. We see them get along and bond more, something the show needed, as we never really got to see much interaction between these two characters.
We even get to see Nolan train Oliver, not dissimilar to how Nolan first trained Mark back on Earth.
Eventually, Mark heals and is prepared to fight. Mark, Nolan and Oliver all head to Talescria, where we see Thragg (voiced by Lee Pace) send the Viltrumites to attack the planet.

Mark and Oliver both destroyed the Viltrumite ship Thragg was in, making the battle a great success.
In the credit scene, Thragg, after his temporary defeat, yells for the Viltrumites to unite. We then see Conquest’s grave. The shot lingers there, making fans speculate whether the show will divulge from the comics and bring back Conquest again.
The episode overall was great. Nolan and Oliver’s relationship was further developed; Thragg is shown more, and the Viltrumite War officially begins.
On top of everything else, Conquest’s return was teased. It could be a joke by the show’s creators, but it would be very interesting to see how the story would differentiate from the comics with Conquest somehow returning.
This episode builds up a lot for the last couple episodes, and it will be very exciting to see the Viltrumite War in full action. The next episodes set to release should be non-stop action judging by both the events of the comics and the wonderful buildup this episode establishes.
