Fox News commentators are crazy, and they continue to prove their insanity during this election season.
Fox News commentator Jesse Watters stated that if his wife voted for Kamala, he would classify that act as infidelity.
“If I found out Emma was going into the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair,” Watters says.
So if his wife “disobeys” him, he is going to leave her and be just as hurt by her actually cheating on him. I kind of wish his wife would cheat on him now; maybe he will see that real infidelity hurts much worse than voting for a Democratic presidential candidate.
Men like Watters are scary, and they are the ones who often have debates and discussions surrounding women and their bodies. He monitors the decisions his wife makes in her life, or at the very least, the presidential candidate she votes for.
No wonder he thinks he has a say in what women do with their bodies.
This is an issue throughout the country. Men think they can create and enforce anti-abortion legislation.
Well, they can and will. But they shouldn’t have the final say.
Regardless of what you think about abortion, shouldn’t women be able to create laws surrounding abortion? Biological men don’t have to deal with nine months of morning sickness, heinous cravings, back pain, and so much more.
They only help with the process once the baby is born, so why should they get any say in whether women can or cannot get an abortion?
There are many moral issues surrounding this talking point, and there will always be morality issues when talking about abortion. However, women should be able to make decisions regarding their bodies when they want, and there shouldn’t be terribly strict laws against it.
But that is what many Republicans are trying to do; they’re trying to tell us what to do with our bodies.
This is a big reason why voting in this election is important. Women are partially voting on whether men can make decisions for us or not.
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote against women’s rights.
“But Trump believes in the exceptions like incest, rape, and possible death of the mother,” you might be saying.
I don’t care. A portion of my fundamental rights are at risk; I do not care if he tolerates the bare minimum. He is going to try to govern what we can and cannot do with our bodies.
Abortion may not be one of your top concerns in this election, but if you are a woman, it should be. Whether you are pro-life or pro-choice, the topic of abortion is just the beginning.
Who knows how far politicians will go? Is it our right to vote next?
I don’t want to find out. The outcome of this election could set women back decades.
Vote to allow your mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, grandmother, and female friends to keep their rights.
Don’t be on the wrong side of history.
