The Big Blue men’s soccer team opened their 2015 season with a win over Westminster College of 3-1. Due to two weather issues during the women’s game before, the game started three hours behind schedule.

Opening the game, was Drake Trease who scored for Westminster early on in the first period on a penalty kick. In the second period, Millikin then scored three times. Tying the game was John Fauser, who did so on a header off of a throw in by Nick Abel. Abel threw in again and ended in a Millikin goal from Zack Solorio. The Big Blue final goal happened in the 81st minute from a goal thanks to an assist from Christain Zenon and the goal made by Ben Spelman.

Coming up: Millikin men’s soccer team will play in Lisle, Illinois on September 5th against Benedictine University.
