Millikin Track
Millikin men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Keck Invitational on February 7 in Bloomington, Illinois at Illinois Wesleyan University. The men ended in sixth place and the women tied for fifth. For the women, Liz Wrobel led Millikin by winning the 3000 M with a time of 11:05.70. Alivia Powers joined Wrobel on the podium placing third with a time of 11:16.57. Powers also received sixth place on the Millikin Top Ten List. Jasharra Clark finished eighth in the 60 M with a finishing time of 8.36 and is now fifth on the Big Blue’s Top Ten List. The Millikin 4X400 M relay team of Michaela Ponstein, Jennifer Parker, Jasharra Clark, and Jamie Michl finished in fifth with a time of 4:13.03, putting them seventh on the list. Michl also ran the 800 M finishing sixth with a time of 2:26.73. Millikin men’s 4×400 M relay team of Bemajedareki Williams Jr., Jordan McCall, Paul Selman, and Rodney Johnson finished in third place with 3:26.47, setting a new Big Blue Indoor Track record. Selman also ran the 200 M and finished in second with a time of 22.70, landing him third overall on the top ten. Jacob Griffith received fifth in the 3000 M with a finishing time 9:24.51. Big Blue also took two podium positions in the long jump. Jacob Segrest finished in first with a distance of 6.43 meters and Darrell Hunt came in third with 6.26 meters. Tristen Schum received third place in the triple jump with a distance of 12.77 meters.
