Millikin University hosted the 2014 Cross Country Championships on November 1 at Decatur’s Hickory Point Golf Course. The Cardinals took the top three individual finishes from North Central led by Ryan Root at 24:05.90. North Central also won the women’s race. Emma Shunk from Wheaton took the individual title with a time of 21:58.37. Big Blue finished in seventh in the women’s event and the men took eighth in their race. Millikin University’s top female finisher was Jamie Michl with a time of 23:39.33 in 27th. For the Big Blue men, Kenneth Albin was top finisher with a time of 26.55.69 coming in 44th. This performance moved Albin to 22nd on the Millikin all-time 8K performance list.
