Big news for the Big Blue men’s soccer team. Millikin won against Augustana College 1-0, earning fourth place in the conference standings and a spot in next week’s CCIW Tournament. This was the fourth straight win, and improved Millikin’s record 9-7-1, 4-3. Millikin scored its only goal in the 11^th minute when Zach Solorio put back a rebounded shot by Oliver Czopek. The Big Blue made that goal with some solid defense. Augustana out shot Millikin 15-5, but the Big Blue goal keeper Daniel Sinclair tuned back all scoring opportunities recording four saves. It will be Millikin’s first trip to the conference tournament since 2001.
