Millikin men’s and women’s swimming teams both finished in third place on Oct. 25 at the Illinois Wesleyan Halloween Meet in Bloomington, Illinois. The meet was early season and had several relay events. Millikin’s top performance was in the 200 Yard Individual Medley Relay. The Big Blue women’s team including Randi Mehrmann, Shelby Kobs, Emily Vana, and Sami Battle, was second with a time of 2:03.53. The Big Blue men’s team including Spencer McGowen, Patrick Lewellyan, Jeremy Baehlet, and Zak Ellrick came in second with a time of 1:47.55. Millikin’s top performances by individuals were Felicity Speirs, who came in third place in the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:47.24, and Andrew Griffin in the Men’s 500 Free with a third place time of 5:36.02. Coming up: Millikin will be hosting Illinois College at 6pm in the McIntosh Pool on Oct. 31.
