Big Blue lost 47-13 in Naperville, IL against North Central College on Oct. 4. Staying close to the Cardinals leading 7-3 at the end of the first quarter. At the half the cardinals led 23-6. North Central scored 21 points in the third quarter and 473 in total offense compared to Millikin’s 324. Big Blues first half points came on two Chayce Volpert field goals as he converted from 36 yards and 43 yards. Millikin’s lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a three-yard pass from quarterback Nick Pippin to tight end Tucker Schwenge. Pippin was 23-45 passing or 179 with two interceptions, 45 rushing yards on 11 carries. Justin Brooks had 50 yards rushing on 8 carries. Issiah Townsend had 5 catches for 62 yards receiving. Mykal Neal and Andy Roth led the Millikin tacklers with 9 stops. Freshman Jalen Easler had an interception for Millikin.
