On Sunday September 28^th, the Millikin women’s tennis team defeated Blackburn College 9-0 at the Fairview Tennis Center in Decatur, Illinois.

In the singles competition, Millikin’s Paige Bequette defeated Blackburn’s Kate Alderman 6-1, 6-0. Molly Angell (Millikin) defeated Maggie Best 6-1, 6-2. Elizabeth Breitbach from Millikin then defeated Megan Isringhausen from Blackburn 6-0, 6-0. Millikin’s Amber Morgan then defeated Elizabeth Orr 6-0, 6-1. Erica Cornelius from Millikin won against Samantha Brown 6-0, 6-0. Janay Stowers from Millikin won from a no player default.

In the doubles competition, Molly Angell and Paige Bequette from Millikin defeated Maggie Best and Kate Alderman from Blackburn 8-0. Then Melissa Donovan and Aubrie Sabin (Millikin) won over Elizabeth Orr and Megan Isringhausen. Amber Morgan and Elizabeth Breitbach won from default of no player.

Millikin women’s tennis team with be hosting Illinois College on Wednesday October 1^st at 3 P.m.
