On Friday September 26^th, Millikin’s Volleyball team gained two wins in Chicago at the University of Chicago Gargoyle Classic.

The Big Blue volleyball team started out by defeating Kalamazoo College 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-19). Two-time All American Audrey Krajec (senior) continues her amazing senior season leading Millikin with 11 digs, 20 kills, three service aces, and a .444 attack percentage. Jenna Hilgers (freshman) had 31 set assists.

The second match against Concordia-Chicago consisted of Millikin winning 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-18). Senior Audrey Krajec led the way for Millikin again with a .571 hitting percentage and 13 kills. Erin Syversen (freshman) had a team high with nine kills and 11 digs. Alora Goodey (freshman) had a .562 attack percentage and 10 kills. Freshman Jenna Hilgers had 40 set assists.

On Saturday September 27^th, Millikin earned another two wins at the University of Chicago Invite day 2. Playing Cornell College, Millikin won 3-1 (25-22. 25-12, 19-25, 27-25) on their first match of the day. Erin Syverson (freshman) led the balanced attack with 13 digs and 17 kills with a .516 hitting percentage. Audrey Krajec (senior) had a team high of 20 digs and 14 kills. Jade Becker (senior) had two blocks and 12 kills. Jenna Hilgers (freshman) had 47 set assists. On their second match of the day, Millikin defeated the University of Chicago 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-12). Audrey Krajec led the Big Blue with 24 digs and 18 kills. Erin Syverson had 14 digs and 17 kills. Christina Capuani (freshman) had two aces and 16 digs. Jenna Hilgers had 12 digs and 47 set assists. Geena Mancuso (junior) had 12 digs. Alora Goodey (freshman) also added four service aces.

After this tournament, Millikin’s volleyball team advances to 17-3 this season.
