Men’s Soccer
Men’s soccer walked away with a big win against Franklin College on September 27th, giving Millikin a two game winning streak. Franklin got the first goal on the board nineteen minutes in, however ten minutes later Alan Hernandez tied the game 1-1 when he scored his first goal of the season. Kellin Daniel scored the winning goal ten minutes into the second half on a pass from Matthew Briars. Dylan Hottsmith sealed the win when he scored on the seventy-ninth minute. Big Blue outshot the Grizzlies 31-13 and Daniel Sinclair had ten saves. The final score was 3-1.
Millikin Men won again on Wednesday October 1st, defeating Greenville College 2-0. The first goal was scored in the 22nd minute on an unassisted goal by freshman Hunter Somers. Millikin now stands 5-4-1 this season.
