The women’s volleyball team is having a great start in the CCIW competition. They are taking the necessary steps to be able to grasp the lead in the CCIW. They have won games against North Park University, Illinois Wesleyan University and Wheaton College. As they remain unbeaten while becoming 3-0 in CCIW play, the team works on showing the conference that Millikin is a school to be reckoned with. As the team is 16-8 overall as of October 12, they look to the teamwork that has gotten them to this point of their season. Junior Audrey Krajec led the Big Blue with 14 kills, 10 digs, and three blocks against North Park and freshman setter Emily Milhalkannin stepped it up with 26 set assists and a team high of 12 digs. As the team continues to battle throughout the CCIW’s remaining games, the true test will be to see if they can continue on this great run. Teamwork, hard work, and composure will be key for the Big Blue in the remainder of their season.
