Album Review: Maroon 5

Maroon 5 has always been, and still is, a fantastic band. A lot of people have heard and listened to Maroon 5, seeing as they have been around for a while. They were formed in 1994 while they were still in high school and their band name was Kara’s Flowers. The pop rock band members from Los Angeles include: Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, James Valentine, Matt Flynn and PJ Morton. Their first album was released in 1997 and titled “The Fourth World.” The band is known for their early hit songs such as “Harder to Breathe” and more recent “Moves Like Jagger,” “Payphone,” “Maps” and “Animals.” On Sept. 2, they released their most recent album “V” which I chose to review. On this album is the new hit song “Animals” which is featured on a recent Kia commercial. It also features “Maps” which they performed on the VMAs. Listening to this album, Maroon 5 does not fail to satisfy. It has the distinct Maroon 5 sound that people recognize. It includes songs that make you want to dance, as well as the heart breaking songs that make you want to cry. One of my favorites from the album is “New Love.” It is yet another well-rounded album by Maroon 5; their albums just keep getting better and better. You can take a listen and purchase as of Sept. 2.
