Millikin Extends Closure

February 2, 2022

Due to continued inclement weather, Millikin has announced that operations will continue to be suspended through Thursday, February 3rd, 2022.

This closure affects all students, and unessential faculty and staff members. Essential faculty and staff members should only report to work as instructed by their supervisors.

SHIELD testing will also be closed during this time.

In-person classes, virtual classes, campus and student organization events, practices, and meetings are not to be held during this closure.

According to the email sent out by President Jim Reynolds, Millikin will continue to monitor the situation and currently plans to resume normal operations on Friday.

Students who live on emergency snow routes should not park their vehicles on the road at this time. Any vehicle that is parked in an emergency snow route is subject to be towed.

Safety continues to be Millikin’s number one priority. Students, faculty, and staff should continue to monitor their emails for any updates regarding plans for Friday.
