IFC Recruitment: What to Expect This Weekend

September 18, 2021

Millikin University’s Interfraternity Council (IFC) held Fall Informal Recruitment events this past week, where Alpha Phi Alpha (AΦA), Alpha Tau Omega (ATΩ), Delta Sigma Phi (ΔΣΦ), Sigma Alpha Epsilon (ΣAE), and Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) introduced potential recruits to their fraternities. In order to have participated in recruitment, students had to have completed a full semester at Millikin and maintained a GPA of 2.5.

Starting at noon on Saturday, September 18, these fraternities will be sending out bid calls to potential new members. Students who receive bids have until 6 pm on Saturday to accept. After this process is complete, the new members will join their fraternities at 8 pm on the Quad for The Plunge.

“Anyone is welcome to attend [The Plunge],” said Griffin Nyi, President of IFC, “but we will have to enforce all standard COVID procedures at that event and at any chapter events after that time.”

Students who wish to join a fraternity next semester can look forward to IFC’s Formal Recruitment events in the spring of 2022.
