Primary Results: Arizona, Florida, and Illinois

March 18, 2020

Arizona, Florida, and Illinois held their primary elections yesterday; Ohio was scheduled to hold theirs, too, but postponed for concerns about COVID-19.

It was clear even before all of the results came in that this would be another big night for Joe Biden. Now, after most of the votes have been counted, it has been determined that Biden has claimed decisive victories in all three state primaries. Reportedly, Bernie Sanders has suspended his Facebook ads and is currently reassessing his Presidential campaign; it remains to be seen whether he will suspend his campaign or continue through the primary process.

As of 11:36 A.M. CST, the current delegate count between the remaining candidates is:

  • Biden – 1,165 delegates
  • Sanders – 880 delegates
  • Gabbard – 2 delegates
