Incoming Millikin golfers took five of the top seven spots in the 2015 Decatur Junior Open on July 31. Freshman Michael Barber was the boys’ 18-21 division winner, with a two-round total of 141 (70-71). Barber’s win in the Junior Open follows his fifth place finish at the IHSA Class-A State Championship earlier this year. Junior transfer student Chris Lee finished second with 149 (76-73). Current Big Blue golfer Bennett Jackson finished third with 151 (75-76). Lee Hill came in fourth at 152 and Andrew Rybolt was in seventh with 176. Sam Osborne, the Head Coach of Millikin Men’s Golf, says “this incoming class is very competitive.”
