The Millikin men’s golf team finished in third place at the Midwest Region Classic played Sept. 8-9 at Trappers Turn Golf Course in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. The event featured 27 holes of play each day in the 54-hole tournament.

Millikin shot a team total of 887 (448-439) to finish eight shots off of first place University of Dubuque and one shot behind second place Luther College.

Millikin’s Top 15 finishers included junior Mike Buenicek in sixth with a 218 (+2) and senior Brian Barry at 219. (+3).

Millikin’s next event is Sept. 22-23 at Franklin College’s Dick Park Invitational.
