The Big Blue men’s and women’s track team competed at the Monmouth College Midwest Invite in Monmouth, Illinois on January 24. No team scores were kept during the meet. For the men, McCall won the 600 Meters with a time of 1:28.16 with Segrest taking the Long Jump with a distance of 6.65 meters. Segrest moved into the eighth place spot on the Millikin Indoor Track Top 10 Performance List. Tucker Mathieson received fourth in the 600 Meters with a time of 1:29.13. Darrell Hunt was in fourth in the Long Jump at a distance of 6.21 meters. Paul Selman gained fifth place in the 60 Meters in 7.11 seconds tying with Millikin’s fourth all-time best performance. Bemajedarecki Williams Jr. gained eighth with 7.17 seconds and moved into an eighth place tie on the Millikin Indoor Top 10 performance list. On the women’s side of the competition, Jasharra Clark received second in the 300 Meters with a time of 43.37 seconds, which is the second quickest time in Millikin history. Isabelle Glimco finished with eighth in the 300 with a time of 52.08 seconds. Uriah Walker gained third in the Long Jump at 4.83 meters. Millikin women’s 4×200 Relay finished in fourth with a time of 1:55.06 with Clark, Walker, Jennifer Parker and Michaela Ponstein.

The Millikin Indoor Track and Field team competed in Terre Haute, Indiana at the Rose-Hulman Engineer Open on January 31. The Big Blue men finished in fifth place and the Millikin women finished in sixth. Millikin was third in the 4×400 Relay with the second fastest time on the Millikin Indoor Track performance list finishing with a time of 3:27.59 with Rodney Johnson, Jordan McCall, Selman, and Kemp making it happen. Jacob Segrest gained third in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.45 meters (21-2.00). Darrell Hunt received sixth in the Long Jump with 6.14 meters (20-1.75). Tristen Schum gained fourth in the Triple Jump with a distance of 12.73 meters (41-9.25), while Millikin’s Justin Brooks received eighth with12.41 meters (40-8.75). In the women’s events, Amanda Morgan received third in the Weight Throw with 12.86 meters (42-2.25) and received fourth in the Shot Put with her toss of 11.30 meters (37-1.00). Jasharra Clark received fifth in the 200 Meters in 26.78 seconds while Ketrya Taylor gained sixth in the Shot Put with 10.01 meters. Carina Brenner received sixth place in the Weight Throw with a distance of 11.20 meters (36-9.00). The Big Blue women gained fourth in the 4×200 Relay with a time of 1:51.53 with Jennifer Parker, Walker, Clark, and Markisa Lewis. Millikin also received fourth in the 4×400 Relay in 4:11.92 with Michael Ponstein, Walker, Clark, and Parker running with the sixth best time on the Millikin all-time Top 10 performance list.
